THE PIED PIPER
In this Jazz twist of the children’s
classic, the town of Hamlyn finds itself overrun with rats, the mayor
(Samuel L Jackson) and his council turn in desperation to a mysterious
piper. They promise to pay him a fortune if he'll rid them of their
plague, but deny him the gold when the rats disappear. Now the piper
(Wesley Snipes) has a trick up his sleeve to teach the townsfolk a
lesson, and the lesson must be learned before they can all live happily
ever after.
This is the song the piper plays to rid
the town of its rats. It was co-written with Ronnie Laws who also plays
the soprano sax lead on it.
"Happily Ever After" is
narrated by Robert Guillaume and has won multiple Image Awards, as well
as a Daytime Emmy nomination and a Cable ACE award. |
